AFC Urgent Care Agoura Hills

My kid got a high fever that couldn’t be put under control. We walked in to this AFC location in Agoura Hills, and got seen by a very nice nurse practitioner in about twenty minutes. Checked a few things and did two virus tests, waited 15 minutes for the results to be out, both negative which is a very positive thing, right? Prescribed two medicines to treat symptoms, everything done within 40 minutes. Our insurance was a HMO before and we only could visit a big hospital whose name I do not care to mention. It usually took us three to four hours for an ER visit, so this time was such a nice surprise! We now had a ppo plan. Fees are reasonable based on our insurance. The only thing that didn’t go too well was their system being down and couldn’t send the prescription over. It took a few more minutes for me to get the prescriptions after I called back when it didn’t show up in the pharmacy. Not a problem at all, systems can be down anywhere any time. We as customers/patients in this case, only worry when nobody wants to take care of it. They have been really quick to fix the problem. A great experience and we will worry less next time we have to use it.

I am so impressed with AFC…. The front office staff are knowledgeable & THEY KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING! ( they Really do) The way they run AFC, ….very professionally! Secondly: I’ve never had to wait any unreasonable periods of time. Thirdly: The medical staff are friendly, kind, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE!! 😁 What more could anyone want? Fourthly: They are super close to Meadowbrook Assisted Living, which makes everything so much easier!🤭😊

This was my second urgent care experience, but my first at this location, and it was excellent. The facility was spotless, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I was seen quickly. It was a much better experience than waiting hours for a scheduled doctor's appointment. Knowing this location is here gives me peace of mind if I ever need urgent care again. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

AFC Urgent Care in Agoura Hills is the nicest and most efficient urgent care facilities I have been to. I have never had to wait long to be treated. The staff is always friendly and pleasant and very professional. The doctors who treated me were top notch and diagnosed my illnesses and I recovered shortly after seeing them.

The admissions nurse, Isabella, was very courteous, friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable. The doctor, Dr. J, was also very friendly and approachable and explained my condition clearly and answered all my questions. I am so glad to have found such a wonderful urgent care near me.

PJ at the front desk was wonderful. I came on an exceptionally busy day, and she seemed to be managing almost everything all on her own. She was multitasking picking up calls, filling out paperwork, and trying to help relax people complaining that it was taking too long. She definitely did not go unnoticed and was especially kind and understanding when checking me in, being transparent about the wait time and also warning me there is a possibility I would need to go to the ER. Thankfully though, after waiting the expected amount of time they got me in and were able to swiftly move me to the procedure room and assist with my issue. All the nurses and doctors were kind and understanding, and overall they made it a good experience although I did not want to have to be there.

I gave it 3 Stars because I thought the front desk was very rude. I almost walked out but am glad I stayed. The physician was very helpful in explaining who I should contact regarding my needs for a chronic disease.
